MAD Close document
The VLM MAD Close process allows you to finalize a MAD document by submitting the actual weights and freights. On the left side of the screen, you will see the information as it is retrieved from the planning or ERP system. These values are automatically translated by Docmation into the format required by the VLM website.
If no translation is available for a particular value, the system will use the incoming data directly, without modification. However, if you adjust any data in the right-hand field, a custom translation will be created. For example, if the field Operator Code contains the value "RedSquare" and you change it to EM.12345.000-12, this new code will be used in the final MAD document. For future work items, "RedSquare" will be automatically translated to EM.12345.000-12 whenever it appears in the Operator Code field.
Some fields, such as Document Reference, Traces ID, Actual Freights, and Actual Load, do not require translation. These values are passed directly from the planning system to the MAD document without modification, and as such, they do not have fields for translation.
Available Fields for Closing a MAD Document
The following fields are available when closing a MAD document:
Traces ID
The Traces ID is a unique identifier used for tracking the document and its associated tasks within the VLM system. This value is directly passed from the planning system and does not require translation.
Actual Freights
The Actual Freights field represents the actual number of freight loads that were transported. This value should reflect the true number of loads and is taken directly from the planning system.
Actual Load
The Actual Load refers to the total weight of the transported manure. This is the real, final weight that is reported in the MAD document and is passed directly from the source system without any translation.
Work Item Creation
When closing a MAD document, a new work item is created. This process uses the following elements:
Operator Code: This may require translation, depending on how the incoming value is formatted.
Traces ID: This value is directly passed without modification.
Actual Freights: This is the actual number of freights transported.
Actual Load: The actual load weight of the manure.
The system uses a translation service to translate certain values, such as the Operator Code, while other fields like Traces ID, Actual Freights, and Actual Load are passed as-is. The work item is created asynchronously and ensures the data is processed correctly.
